Focus Productions Studios Art Department put out the teaser today and the internet is buzzing.

“Antares- Chasing The Sun” film director, Dan Myricks, released his Film Promo Yesterday.

We sat Down with The Director Dan Myricks to get to learn more about his FRESH Empowering film.

What is this film about?

DAN: “They were made to protect Man Kind.” “It’s based on real science. This film is its own genre. The film will incorporate Wing Chung and Woman Empowerment. The characters are strong and relatable.”

What inspired you to Make a film like this?

DAN: “I wanted to inspire women. ALL WOMEN.  I wanted to show women they have a voice and strength. I DON’T like women being abused and living in fear. It’s time for Women to be heard and stand up for themselves!”

Why are you stepping into the Director Chair now?

DAN: “Many people don’t know my background. I worked on several Hollywood Movies in the Graphics department.  Being on the set and working with top directors has prepared me to make my own film. I’ve had this concept for ten years, but was waiting for the right moment. That time is now.”

Wonder Woman just had recent box office success. Will this influence your film?

DAN: “Yes. It’s the perfect time for a Woman to take the lead and be equal. Extremely happy for Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot on their recent success. However, my film will give even more diversity and strength.  It’s real and gritty with a hint of Science Fiction.” “What is the line between reality and fiction?”

What is the symbol in the Film Promo teaser mean?

DAN: “The problem is we don’t open our eyes enough. We are so busy, we don’t look at the minute detail.” “It means “peace on earth” and the triangle pointing down with a line represents earth and a peace sign is in the center.  It has a deeper meaning within the film which is to be discovered on the journey it takes you”

Is that the earth blowing up?

DAN:  “No! We have billions of planets in our solar system we have never discovered. Think outside the box, that’s what this film makes you do.”

You mentioned it’s a FAN MADE FILM?

DAN:  “The fans will make this film possible. It starts from our core. Unity, Love, Strength. I want to inspire everyone to strive for what they believe in. I decided to involve the people and have them get involved as the film grows. It’s about the people.”
